Human Resources Development for Alternative Care Advisor

SOS Children’s Villages Lebanon is looking for “Human Resources Development for Alternative Care Advisor” to support the HR Manager in implementing and monitoring standards that relate to the professional recruitment and development of child care professionals.

 

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

HR areas based on the HR cycle

- Drafts staffing patterns of care professionals, child development co-workers according to regional standards, national legal and organisational requirements.

- Designs recruitment processes for care professionals based on needs and requests.

- Follows up the alignment of national recruitment documents and processes for main caregivers with regional and global reference documents.

- Supports in the development of onboarding programme upon request and follows up.

- Designs and organises theoretical and practical training for care professionals according to global and regional documents and selects qualified trainers in close cooperation with AC Advisor

SOS Parents

- Leads the recognition process of the SOS parent’s profession and monitors actions.

- Supports co-workers in their responsibility to provide support to SOS Parents in HR field.

- Keeps overview, follows up implementation quality of supporting SOS caregivers standards.

- Supports finalising careers of SOS Parents/Aunts in a planned and structured way according to SOS standards and national requirements.

Child Safeguarding (CS)

Carries out recruitment processes with a strong focus on preventing potential CS risks, including mandatory police and background checks.

 Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination.

 Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to respective line manager

 

Must criteria

Working experience ( 3 to 5 years) in the field of HR, especially in recruitment, staff training and performance management

Capability to develop concepts

Capability in the field of controlling of the quality of processes

Good command of English, written and spoken

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, social competence

Good organisational capabilities

 

Preferred additional criteria

Experience in working in the pedagogical field

Inside knowledge of the SOS organisation and being acquainted with the peculiarities of Human Resources Development in SOS Children’s Villages Organisation

Experience in project management and/or leading projects

Experience in organisational change processes

Good computer literacy: MS Office
