Assistant to the Director of the NGO

Administrative Support:

Manage the Director's calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings.

Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations.

Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including goals, objectives, and strategies.

Ensure that programs are aligned with the NGO's mission and strategic objectives.

Maintain accurate records and files.

 

Project Coordination:

Assist the Director in coordinating and overseeing various NGO projects.

Liaise with project teams, partners, and stakeholders.

Track project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

 

Strategic Support:

Conduct research and analysis to support the Director's decision-making.

Prepare reports and presentations on organizational performance and strategic initiatives.

Assist in the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.

Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

Monitor program expenditures and adjust budgets as needed.

Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.

Secure necessary funding for programs through grants, donations, or other sources.

 

Fundraising Support:

Assist in preparing grant proposals and donor reports.

Maintain donor relationships and cultivate new funding opportunities.

 

Event Management:

Coordinate and organize NGO events, conferences, and workshops.

Represent the NGO at relevant events and meetings.

Manage event budgets and logistics.

Qualifications and Skills

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Proven experience in administrative or project management roles.

Experience in fundraising or grant writing.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong understanding of program design, implementation, and evaluation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).   

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Passion for the NGO’s mission and goals.
