. General functions:
- Assist with the general administrative functions of the Human Resources Unit in the day-to-day processes.
- Assist in developing and implementing an effective time management system to organize and track leave requests and absences for international staff.
- Monitor national staff attendance and provide input to Senior HR staff.
- Verify attendance logs to confirm that national staff are present in eligible locations and performing tasks qualifying for danger pay.
- Coordinate with Senior HR staff to apply and disburse danger pay allowances for national staff accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and monitor international staff R&R cycles, ensuring that international staff complete the required work periods to qualify for R&R.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.

Applicants for IOM internships:
- Must, at the time of application,
a) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
b) be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
c) have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

• 3 years of University degree or BA Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another related field.
Experience:
• A previous internship or related work experience in human resources would be a distinct advantage.
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Excellent writing and drafting skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Computer literacy, especially database tools.
• Ability to learn new tasks rapidly and generate relevant information quickly and easily.
Languages:
Fluency (both oral and written) in English is required for the internship. Working knowledge of Arabic and French is an advantage.
