Retention Support Educator - Cycle 3 - Tripoli

Responsibilities:

 

  • Plans, prepares, and delivers comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials to address the different learning abilities (grades 7, 8, 9)
  • Develops and prepares a variety of learning materials and resources (worksheets and activities)
  • Caters to various learning styles, including visual, auditory (or aural), kinaesthetic (or hands-on), and reading and writing learners
  • Implements and adapts various teaching methods and differentiated instructions to meet children's learning abilities and interests using active learning strategies
  • Attend and actively participate in all mandatory trainings
  • Maintain a child-friendly and safe teaching/learning environment in the classroom while adopting a holistic approach to teaching (physical, emotional, and intellectual wellbeing)
  • Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality education, referrals, and reporting requirements, are followed
  • Track attendance and follow up closely with centre coordinators on children who dropped out or are at the risk of dropping out and keep a record of the follow-up actions taken
  • Utilize and protect the educational equipment, such as materials, books, and other learning aids
  • Identify and refer child protection and child safeguarding cases
  • Collect data on required assessments (Pre/Post Assessments)
  • Ensure all project data records including registration sheets, attendance sheets, evaluation documents etc. are submitted to centre coordinator on time
  • Conduct formative assessments for children during implementation period to track improvement and adjust the support in a timely and individualized manner
  • Ensure safe, secure, simulative, and inclusive classes to meet the abilities and the needs of the children (including children with disabilities)
  • Respect and commit to internal policies and procedure including Child Safeguarding, code of conduct, dressing code

 

Qualifications and Relevant Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in French, Arabic, Chemistry, Biology Mathematics, or Physics
  • Previous experience in teaching cycle 3
  • Previous experience in delivering learning support sessions
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in Arabic and French or English Languages
