Consortium Program Officer - Beirut

The Opportunity

The program officer will assist the consortium in coordinating projects. The role holder will handle information management related tasks and support the Chief of party in the analysis, monitoring and reporting of operational activities.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • At least two years of prior professional experience in a similar role, program coordination, or relevant positions, ideally within an international or local organization.
  • Ability to write weekly and monthly reports
  • Computer knowledge (proficient in word, PowerPoint and excel and development of graphics)
  • Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work
  • Excellent contact and diplomacy to manage relationship in tensed situation
  • Ability to maintain consistent high standards of professional behavior and achievement when working independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage stress and pressure under tight deadlines
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
  • Experience in programming for large scale humanitarian emergencies
  • Experience in working with partners or in partnership
  • Experience working in development, humanitarian, or community-based projects.
