Case Worker

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker/Case Worker to provide essential support to vulnerable individuals and families affected by [specific context, e.g., conflict, trauma, poverty]. In this role, you will work closely with the PSS Facilitator to provide a holistic approach to support, combining case management with psycho-social services. This collaboration aims to empower clients and enhance their well-being through coordinated, multi-faceted assistance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with the PSS Facilitator to identify right holder’s psycho-social needs and ensure comprehensive, coordinated support that addresses both practical and emotional aspects of their challenges.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate right holder’s needs, challenges, and strengths, developing individualized support plans that include referrals to healthcare, social services, and education.
  • Support right holders in accessing PSS activities facilitated by the PSS team, ensuring seamless integration of case management and psycho-social interventions.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with right holders, tracking their progress and updating intervention plans as needed to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide immediate support in crisis situations and liaise with the PSS Facilitator and other specialists for urgent psycho-social care.
  • Advocate for right holders within the community, connecting them to essential services, resources, and educational or vocational opportunities to promote self-reliance.
  • Maintain detailed case records, document interactions, and ensure strict adherence to right holders’ confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
  • Foster relationships with local service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to expand support networks and enhance service accessibility for clients.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in social work, case management, or psycho-social support, especially in community-based or humanitarian settings.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.

 

Skills:

 

O Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with PSS facilitators and other team members.

O Experience with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and case management best practices.

O Ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy and maintain a high standard of confidentiality.

O Familiarity with local resources and social services.
