Events and Visibility Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Event Management:

  • Plan, organize, and execute events that align with BIAT's objectives, such as workshops, competitions, and conferences.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue arrangements, speaker invitations, participant registrations, and event schedules.
  • Implement innovative and inclusive event formats, including hybrid and online events, to maximize participation.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and create detailed reports on outcomes and insights.

Visibility and Communication Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a visibility strategy focused on increasing brand awareness, event engagement, and stakeholder involvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all communication efforts align with BIAT's mission and goals.
  • Manage BIAT’s digital presence, including regular updates on social media platforms and the website.
  • Create engaging promotional content such as infographics, videos, testimonials, and impact stories to reach targeted audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement and Community Building:

  • Identify and engage with BIAT’s primary and secondary audiences, including donors, government agencies, NGOs, entrepreneurs, media, and academic institutions.
  • Build partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance event participation and visibility.
  • Act as a liaison with media outlets to ensure coverage of key events and achievements.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for communication objectives, such as event attendance, social media engagement, and website traffic.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Program Manager and steering committee.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all events, campaigns, and visibility initiatives.

Design and Branding Oversight:

  • Ensure that all event materials and communications adhere to BIAT’s branding guidelines.
  • Work with graphic designers and agencies to produce visually appealing content.

Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event planning, visibility campaigns, or public relations, preferably within NGOs or development programs.
• Proven success in managing multi-channel communication strategies and large-scale events.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in social media tools, content creation software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite), and project management tools.
• Experience with analytics platforms to track engagement and visibility metrics.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Organizational Skills:
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Attention to detail in planning, execution, and follow-up.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with BIAT’s strategic objectives and local socio-economic development challenges.
• Knowledge of international donor requirements for visibility and communication.
• Experience with innovative and interactive event formats
