Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Assistant - Zahle

The Opportunity

Under the overall supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Assistant is responsible for supporting the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities of SCI’s projects and programs. He/She will assist in data collection, entry, and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on program performance. The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Assistant will work closely with the MEAL team and program staff to ensure that feedback mechanisms are in place and that lessons learned are integrated into program design and implementation.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, public health, development studies, or a related field.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a MEAL role or similar position, ideally within a non-profit or humanitarian setting.
  • Experience with mobile data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skills in designing and implementing information management and performance measurement frameworks
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share assessment and monitoring results
  • Demonstrated understanding of emergency response activities
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience in data analysis and coordination 
  • Ability to work in challenging and complex environments.
