Job Purpose: The Grants Officer will administer the assigned partnership portfolios and control compliance of project execution with the organization’s policies and partner’s compliances.
Report to: Grants & Partnerships Manager
Major Activities:
- Act as primary contact and focal person for the assigned portfolios
- Establish and maintain effective communication with inter-departmental heads and key staff to ensure effective implementation of the contractual obligation
- Prepare project documents in close coordination with relevant departments (operations, Technical, finance) for new funding/donors
- Keep track of all deliverables due from all departments and make sure that they are received in time to keep in line with the project implementation plan
- In coordination with the Grants and Partnerships Manager, and alongside the Finance, Technical, Operation, HR, and M&E take the lead on developing new projects, in accordance with the organization's strategy
- Undertake due diligence on the viability of potential new partnerships
- Maintain and develop working relationships with existing donors and explore opportunities to renew potential partnerships in line with the program priorities
- Organize and facilitate the Planning Meetings/kick-off for new projects, in collaboration with Operations, Technical Managers, Finance, HR, and M&E departments/units
- Work closely with the relevant departments to ensure that all partnership opportunities conform to B&Z and in-country laws and regulations.
- Contribute to organizational capacity assessment and assist with capacity-building planning
- Prepare project-specific reporting templates and tools in line with donor requirements.
- Following up on all Project Partnerships’ reporting deadlines and assisting in the pre-submission final checks and reconciliation in coordination with Reporting Officers and Project/Program Managers.
- Undertake other duties as required by the Grants and Partnerships Manager
- Contribute to the development of high-quality project concept notes and proposals
- Update B&Z Grants trackers and tools
- Assess calls for funds while focusing on the compliance of the calls.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate degree in International Relations, International Management, Business Administration, or other relevant majors. A higher or additional degree in social science and NGO fields is a plus.
- Experience in Partnerships Management, Project Management Project Life Cycle, and MEAL controls.
- More than two years working in Humanitarian organizations in the Lebanese context

- Ability to plan and implement effective and accountable-oriented communication with a variety of partners and donors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suit instruments.
- Flexibility to accept and conduct ad hoc tasks and urgent requests.
- Ability to work under changing and challenging work conditions.
- Ability to use interpersonal, conflict prevention, and conflict resolution skills internally and externally.
- Self-motivation and initiation are a plus. Proven fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is required
