Site Management Support Officer – SOGIE and Migrant Focused

JOB PURPOSE

The Site management Support Officer – GESI Focus, plays a crucial role in a site management approach by

ensuring smooth and efficient site operations to reinforce management of collective shelters for diverse

and inclusive shelters. The primary purpose is to accompany day-to-day site management activities in and

out of displacement sites by facilitating coordination among stakeholders, including project managers,

contractors, and team members, to align activities with project goals. He/She is responsible for monitoring

site progress, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Provide

regular reports to management. The Site Management Support Officer – GESI Fosus, helps create a

structured environment that promotes effective project delivery, accessability, and enhances overall site

performance for marginalised communities

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Facilitate and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring that all activities align with project

timelines and objectives.

- Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, suppliers, and local communities,

promoting clear communication and collaboration.

- Support local authorities responsible for site administration, or the site manager, in mapping

stakeholders (Who does What Where, targeting Whom)

- Track site performance metrics, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular progress reports

for management to inform decision-making.

- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials,

to ensure efficiency and minimize delays.

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular site inspections to

promote a safe working environment.

- Organizing regular coordination meetings with committee and community representatives’

participation

- Monitor work quality to ensure that it meets project specifications and industry standards,

addressing any issues promptly.

- Identify potential risks or challenges on-site and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project continuity.

- Manage logistics related to site operations, such as scheduling maintenance, procurement of supplies, and inventory management.

- Provide training and support to site personnel on operation8al procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

- Support the establishment of information desks and Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM)

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of site activities, including contracts, compliance records, and incident reports.

- Considering gender, protection, and GBV concerns in all aspects of activities

JOB REQUIREMENT (Qualification and Experience)

- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant Field such as Public Health, Psychology, Economics, Business, Education etc…

- Relevant experience in Site Management, Project coordination, Social Work, Field Officer for a minimum of 1 year .

- Knowledge and experience in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion inclusive of SOGIE, PwD, and Migrants, GBV, and Protection.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Proficient in identifying issues and developing solutions quickly.

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
