About the Course
The Basic Demining Course aims to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required for humanitarian demining operations. This training is designed to ensure participants understand the principles of mine action, safety protocols, and the effective use of demining tools and techniques in line with national and international standards (NMAS and IMAS)
Participants accredited by MAG & the Lebanese mine action center by the end of the course will receive a certificate of completion upon successfully finishing the course.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for this training should meet the following criteria:
Age: Above 18 years of age.
Education: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to meet the demands of demining tasks.
Location: Applicants from all areas are welcome to apply and residents of south Lebanon specifically are highly encouraged to apply.
Commitment: Willingness to complete a training of three week period and adhere to safety protocols.
Please note that prior experience in humanitarian work or mine action is not required but is an advantage.

Training Details
Duration: Three weeks as of January 2025. Exact dates to be determined.
Location: To be determined.
Start Date: To be determined.
Cost: No cost, the trainee will be paid 17$/ day to cover the daily transportation and meal expenses.
