Content and Social Media Officer

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

Content Creation

Producing high-quality, purpose driven, long-form and short-form written content in English for various digital and non-digital platforms.

Conducting thorough research on assigned topics to gather relevant information and ensure accuracy and credibility in the content. This may involve studying industry trends, interviewing subject matter experts, and utilizing reliable sources.

Crafting engaging, concise, and well-structured content (reels, interviews, text, infographics etc.) that aligns with the target audience and meets the organization’s brand voice and style guidelines.

Attending events/meetings as needed to interview and/or gather necessary details to produce the written material.

Incorporating relevant keywords and optimizing content for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes. This includes understanding basic SEO principles, conducting keyword research, and implementing best practices to improve visibility.

Reviewing and revising content for clarity, and overall quality. This includes self-editing and incorporating feedback from peers to improve the content.

Actively participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to develop and execute adequate content creation.

Keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging content formats.

Social Media

Implement and manage all social media accounts related to Berytech on all channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

Post and cover relevant activities happening at Berytech with the aim of informing and engaging the community

Attend necessary events, workshops among others for coverage

Collaborating with the communications team and the internal departments to create content through social media, email marketing, and other channels.

Keeping up with social media trends, best practices, and emerging content formats.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or equivalent from an accredited university.

Experience: At least 2 years in Content Writing

Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus

Additional Required Skills

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing content.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from various sources.

Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative content ideas.

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup ecosystem is a plus.
