Work-From-Home Policy Development Intern

Internship Objectives
We are seeking a motivated intern to support the creation of a policy framework that:

• Analyzes critical indicators shaping the entrepreneurial landscape in Lebanon.
• Evaluates current gaps and strengths in entrepreneurial laws and regulations.
• Proposes actionable legislative reforms grounded in global best practices.
• Crafts a strategic roadmap with clear recommendations for policymakers.

Internship Scope and Timeline

Working closely with YMCA Lebanon, the intern will complete the following phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Review and Data Analysis
   • Duration: Week 1 (~10–12 hours)
   • Tasks: Review datasets, extract key entrepreneurial indicators, and identify significant trends or gaps.
2. Phase 2: Comparative Synthesis and Drafting
   • Duration: Weeks 2–3 (~15–20 hours total)
   • Tasks: Draft a comparative analysis highlighting gaps in Lebanon's policies and aligning them with international standards.
3. Phase 3: Roadmap Development
   • Duration: Weeks 4–5 (~15–18 hours total)
   • Tasks: Create an actionable policy roadmap with short-, medium-, and long-term recommendations for reform.
4. Phase 4: Finalization and Presentation
   • Duration: Weeks 6–7 (~10–15 hours total)
   • Tasks: Refine the document for clarity and coherence, and develop a presentation for stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria

• Passion for entrepreneurship and public policy.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Availability to commit 50–65 hours over 6–7 weeks.
