Employability Program Coordinator

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with employers, understanding the skills and qualifications they seek in candidates, and ensuring these insights are communicated to improve the TVET curriculum. You will also support graduates by assessing their skills, competencies, and job fit through interviews, using different interviewing techniques. A solid understanding of Lebanon’s job market trends, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and competency-based skills is essential for this role.

Additionally, you will manage and oversee funded projects that aim to enhance employability and technical skills for students, ensuring the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with private sector employers to gather insights into job market trends and opportunities.
  • Understand the skills and qualifications employers require and communicate these insights to enhance curriculum development.
  • Analyze the job market, emerging sectors, and future employment prospects to inform institutional strategies.
  • Help graduates understand job market expectations and connect them with relevant job opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth screening and interviews with graduates using various techniques, including behavioral interviewing, to assess their competencies and job fit.
  • Use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage job applications and optimize the job placement process.
  • Apply competency-based skills to match graduates with suitable job opportunities and contribute to curriculum improvements.
  • Manage and oversee funded projects that support employability and technical skills development for students, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in labor market analysis, employer relations, or a similar outreach role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to interpret and apply job market data.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Lebanese job market and its dynamics.
  • Proficient in conducting interviews, particularly behavioral interviews, to assess candidates effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) for recruitment and job placement.
  • Familiarity with competency-based skills and their application in job matching.
  • Prior experience in managing and following funded projects, particularly those focused on employability and skills development.
