Job Purpose: Provide psychological support and counseling for beneficiaries, both on an individual and group level and support B&Z staff to improve the quality of specialized services provided to individuals at risk.

Major Activities:

• Offer individual counseling sessions to men, women, and children, either through drop-ins or referrals from other center staff.
• Develop and implement individualized counseling plans based on needs assessments.
• Conduct group therapy sessions for children facing emotional or social challenges related to trauma, displacement, or other difficult experiences.
• Provide technical support to the Case Manager, particularly in dealing with challenging cases, setting priorities, types of intervention, and referrals.
• Conduct short-term emotional support and counseling for beneficiaries.
• Inform Case Workers about cases requiring mental health referrals.
• Assist Case Workers in making referrals to mental health agencies.
• Assist other center staff in responding to different cases within activities.
• Conduct case conferences about shared cases with the Case Manager and others if necessary.
• Monitor awareness and support group activities within the centers and outside, providing management advice for activity improvement.
• Report problems and training needs identified during the monitoring of psychological activities to the Protection Officer.
• Collaborate with Basmeh and Zeitooneh staff in conducting training sessions on psychological support, MHPSS, and first aid when requested.
• Participate in workshops, trainings, and meetings; attend staff care once a month.
• Provide support and coordination to teachers in the identification of cases and follow-up on referrals.
• Conduct monthly conference meetings with teachers and awareness-raising sessions on psychological topics.
• Prepare self-care packages and conduct self-care days for Basmeh and Zeitooneh staff.
• Provide individual counseling for Basmeh and Zeitooneh staff when needed.
• Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports as per the schedule shared with the Protection Officer.
• Fulfill center-wide tasks such as registration and other activities as required.
• Accomplish any other assignments given by the supervisor.
• Be available to train Basmeh and Zeitooneh staff and participate in meetings in Basmeh and Zeitooneh offices or other identified premises.
• Complete a minimum of 3 working days per week.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other related field At least 3 years experience in the field of psychological support
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a clinical setting.
• Understanding and commitment to child’s rights and protection;
• Experience providing individual counseling services;
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Analytical thinking and reporting skills
