Attacks on Health Care in Lebanon: 27 November - 10 December 2024

Insecurity Insight identified 315 incidents of violence against or obstruction of health care in Lebanon between 08 October 2023 and 26 November 2024. In these incidents, at least 258 health workers were killed, 213 injured and health facilities damaged 158 times. All of these reported 315 incidents were attributed to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Despite the 27 November Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire, at least six attacks on health care attributed to Israeli forces have been reported. Six medics were killed, four injured and a women’s and children’s centre damaged by Israeli drone and plane strikes. In addition, an ambulance was driven over and destroyed by Israeli tanks (see below for incidents).
