Human Resources Officer - Beirut

The Opportunity

The HR Officer will play a key role in supporting the organization's talent acquisition, employee development, and compliance. This includes managing full-cycle recruitment, enhancing employee experience through effective onboarding, learning and development initiatives and performance management. Additionally, the HR Officer will ensure adherence to DEI principles, local laws, and organizational policies.

The HR Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a positive work environment, support staff well-being, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours as needed.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Arabic.
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources, including recruitment and general HR operations.
  • Knowledge of core HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with recruitment and HR systems (e.g., Oracle) and local employment laws.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Commitment to workplace diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding practices.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability to respond to HR needs during emergencies.
  • Alignment with Save the Children’s values and humanitarian principles.
  • Experience in supporting HR operations in dynamic or emergency contexts is an asset.
