The following duties are requested from the position holder:
- Accompany the residents at the shelter during late afternoon and night time, and help them integrate in the set program of the shelter;
- Make sure that the needs of the residents are met;
- Make sure that residents are abiding by the internal regulations of the shelter;
- Facilitate communication and coordination between residents and manage tensions or conflicts if any;
- Present a consistent, positive and appropriate role model for the residents;
- Maintain a good written and verbal communication with staff in order to update them with the needs and follow-up of the residents;
- Prepare weekly report for the management of the shelter and daily de-briefs;
- Notify the director if emergencies occur;
- Assist with office-related tasks when needed, and attend team meetings;
- Abide by the internal rules and policies of the shelter, and the staff code of conduct. Do not discriminate among the residents on any grounds or status, and promote values of flexibility, diversity and equality, respect of dignity, autonomy, and empowerment.
