Project Overview:

CARE project (Comprehensive Assistance for Resilience and Empowerment) is a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting displaced populations, with a particular focus on empowering youth and addressing the needs of pregnant women. The project seeks to enhance resilience by providing comprehensive services, including awareness sessions, and skill-building activities tailored to the unique challenges faced by these vulnerable groups. By fostering empowerment and promoting self-reliance, CARE aims to improve the overall well-being of both displaced individuals and host communities while preserving their dignity and strengthening their ability to rebuild their lives as well we enhancing the synergy and social cohesion.

Purpose of the Role

The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a project that provides support and services to youth and pregnant women. The coordinator will ensure activities are executed on time, within scope, and in line with the project’s objectives, promoting empowerment, well-being, and resilience among the target groups.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Implementation

  • Develop detailed work plans and timelines for all project activities.
  • Coordinate with team members to implement activities addressing youth and pregnant women, including workshops, training sessions, and community events.
  • Ensure project activities align with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Identify and address potential risks to ensure smooth implementation.

Team Coordination

  • Supervise project staff, including field officer, volunteers, and service providers.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to monitor progress, share updates, and solve challenges collaboratively.
  • Provide guidance and capacity-building opportunities to the team.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Advocate for the needs and priorities of youth and pregnant women at community and institutional levels.

 

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to track project progress and outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the project’s impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for donors, management, and stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future programming.

 

Financial Management

  • Work closely with the finance team to manage the project budget effectively.
  • Ensure activities are implemented within the approved budget and maintain proper documentation of expenses.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with organizational policies and safeguarding standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in projects targeting youth, women, vulnerable or displaced populations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
    • Knowledge of issues affecting youth and pregnant women in humanitarian or development contexts.
    • Working with displaced populations
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse groups.

 

  • Language: Proficiency in [Specify Languages, e.g., English and Arabic] is required

Key Deliverables

  • Timely execution of all project activities according to the work plan.
  • Regular reports submitted to the Project Manager and donors.
  • Effective coordination among team members and stakeholders.
  • Documented evidence of project impact and lessons learned.
