Position: Clinical Psychologist, Part-time (Project Based)
Tahaddi is a Lebanese NGO established in 2008 whose aim is to empower families facing extreme poverty through the provision of education, health, and psychosocial support. Tahaddi principally works in Hay el Gharbeh, an informal settlement in Southern Beirut. Tahaddi runs a non-formal education center, a primary health clinic, and a psychosocial center. In addition, Tahaddi operates an income-generating sewing workshop.
Tahaddi Lebanon is currently hiring a part-time project based clinical psychologist. The clinical psychologist is responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling for children, adults and caregivers. The psychologist will work alongside the PSS team under the Director of the Psychosocial Support Center (PSS)
Reports to: PSS Director
Location: Tahaddi Center, Hay el Gharbeh, Southern Beirut
Work type: Part-time.
Duties and Responsibiliteies:
- Provide one-on-one and/or family counseling sessions for children, adolescents and adults.
- Implement interventions under the supervision of the Center Director
- Attend the monthly team meetings and participate in case management meetings.
- Closely liaise with the Center Director throughout the intervention period, working together for the best interests of the community.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize information in order to implement and support intervention methods and techniques.
- Organize and facilitate awareness, wellbeing, and mental health group sessions for children, adults and caregivers.
- Provide psychological progress reports on a monthly basis and keep statistical data entry updated.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology. (licensed psychologist)
- A minimum of three to five years of experience.
- Experience working with NGOs, and hard-to-reach groups is an asset.
- Native speaker of Arabic; fluent in French or English.
- Strong leadership skills including self-motivation, initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills including good communication and listening skills.
- Willingness to work in vulnerable communities.
- Ability to manage several priorities and meet firm deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
