Livelihoods Officer

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for collecting timely reports from the field and contribute to the development of interim and final narrative reports to donors in accordance with relevant templates, requirements and deadlines.
• Follow up on the set implementation plan to ensure no delays are incurred on the projects.
• Oversee the implementation of the project activities within the targeted sites while providing the required support.
• Support in the planning of the activities in coordination with the PMER team.
• Liaise with and provide ongoing support to the Field Officers in the implementation areas.
• Ensure collecting the lessons learnt and the best practices from the field and sharing them with the PMER team.
• Conduct field visits to the targeted sites with the Field Officers to monitor the implementation of the activities.
• Conduct regular meetings with the steering committee of the projects.
• Provide relevant support to the Field Coordinator.
• Ensure that the implemented activities meet the strategic objectives of the projects

Function Specific Experience

• Previous experience in working on livelihoods and business continuity
• Previous experience in working with NGOs
• Previous experience in similar positions
• Experience in project cycle management
• Experience in socioeconomic programs (EcoSec, etc.)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, specifically MS Word and Excel
• Previous experience as an LRC volunteer is an asset
