The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a project aimed at improving mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and well-being in Lebanon. Reporting to the Programs Coordinator, this role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, managing resources, ensuring timely execution of activities, and monitoring progress. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with local stakeholders, managing the project’s budget and logistics, and ensuring the project meets its objectives in supporting communities affected by the ongoing crisis in Lebanon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive project plans, establish milestones, and ensure alignment with the project's objectives
- Serve as main contact for project updates, maintain communication with UNFPA representative, stakeholders and team
- Prepare regular reports, maintain accurate project records, and file documents
- Coordinate and manage activities with project board members
- Assist in the recruitment process
- Organize meetings and monitor team progress
- Develop a monthly report reflecting the progress of the implementation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, a Master's degree in the same field will be considered as a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in health, social services, or humanitarian sectors
- Fluency in Arabic and strong command of English (written and spoken)
- Proven ability to manage and supervise field-based teams
- Experience in budget and resource management to ensure efficient project execution
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with adaptability to changing environments
- Good knowledge of Protection minimum standards, Protection principles and PSEA
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, and donors
- Ability to monitor and evaluate project performance, ensuring alignment with objectives and measurable impact
- Skilled in risk management, identifying issues, and implementing mitigation strategies
- Culturally sensitive, with a deep understanding of the local context, especially regarding the Lebanese crisis
