Permaculture and Sustainable agriculture training expert

1. Training Topics

The below topics should be developed following Permaculture, Climate Change, and Sustainable Agriculture criteria however they are subject to change according to needs assessment and curriculum development results.

• Soil health
• Water management
• Green Construction
• Regenerative agriculture
• Innovative agricultural practices for climate change adaptation

• FTL will provide the venue and refreshments.

2. Outcomes

The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the above-mentioned topics for the required training sessions:

• 35 sessions, 7 topics (5 groups of 15 participants)

The training will be given in the Bekaa region. Exact location is to be determined later on.

The training topics will be confirmed following the needs assessment

3. Deliverables

• Conduct a total of 35 training sessions on the listed topics above.
• Assess and analyse beneficiary performance and topic understanding through relevant Pre and Post tests.
• Submit timely pre and post training reports for each training given.
• Submit training and activity report.

4. Qualifications

• Higher university degree in agriculture, social sciences, statistics, or any relevant field  
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a consultant
• Experience using data analysis tools and software such as KOBO, SPSS, and others
• Extensive experience interacting with and relating to gender professionals and international stakeholders at senior level
• Able to synthesize large data sets to reach conclusions and strategic recommendations
• Proven knowledge of Fair-Trade principles
• In-depth knowledge of the Lebanese context
• Proven presentation skills
• Drives results

The consultant should submit a portfolio of previous projects, in addition to a short concept note related to the abovementioned intervention with a budget. The detailed workplan will be developed and agreed upon in coordination with FTL team.

6. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made through bank cheques
• Payment will be made within 15 to 20 business days after last delivery and submission of final invoice
