Association des Jeunes Islamiques ADJI is a leading non-profit rehabilitation center in Lebanon specializing in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychosocial services. Established in 1997, RMC has built a reputation for high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services.
As part of its commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, RMC enforces a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and requires all staff to adhere to the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Code of Conduct.
ADJI is implementing a Comprehensive Rehabilitation, Secondary Healthcare, and Protection Services Project in North Lebanon and Akkar. ADJI is a renowned non-profit rehabilitation center dedicated to providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychosocial support to vulnerable individuals, including persons with disabilities (PwDs), children with disabilities (CwDs), and elderly individuals.
Job Summary
The Speech Therapist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders. Working within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, the therapist will support children, adults, and elderly individuals to improve their communication abilities, social integration, and overall quality of life.
Speech therapy services will be delivered at RMC’s rehabilitation center in Tripoli.
Key Responsibilities
Speech & Language Therapy Services
Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
Provide speech therapy sessions to improve speech clarity, communication skills, and swallowing function.
Utilize alternative communication strategies for patients with severe communication impairments.
Provide training on communication techniques for individuals with disabilities.
Data Collection & Reporting
Maintain accurate patient records and document progress.
Contribute to monitoring & evaluation (M&E) reports to track therapy outcomes.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Refer patients for secondary healthcare services when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in speech therapy, preferably in rehabilitation or healthcare settings.
Experience working with PwDs, CwDs, and elderly individuals.
Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and communication skills.
Fluency in Arabic; knowledge of English and/or French.
Preferred:
Experience in community-based rehabilitation (CBR) or working with NGOs/humanitarian organizations.
