Life Skills Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Life Skills Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring life skills sessions and youth-led initiatives in the South region. The role involves working closely with youth, trainers, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery, data tracking, and continuous improvement of activities. The coordinator will also support compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies while maintaining strong documentation and reporting processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement life skills sessions and youth-led initiatives.
  • Guide and track youth development following life skills sessions and initiatives.
  • Review Youth-Led Initiative (YLI) proposals and submit them to the Area Manager.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of session materials based on field observations and relevant training.
  • Provide comprehensive reports throughout the year, including quantitative data and detailed narrative descriptions.
  • Ensure organized activities adhere to logistical, administrative, and communication processes aligned with donor requirements.
  • Identify lessons learned from field implementation and propose improvements for activity delivery.
  • Coordinate with life skills partners and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Identify and orient youth beneficiaries for participation in life skills programs.
  • Allocate trainers to different groups and monitor the quality of their sessions.
  • Evaluate sessions, trainers, and pre- and post-test results to assess impact.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor life skills courses and youth engagement.
  • Track progress on all program objectives, activities, and targets, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
  • Identify implementation challenges and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for monthly meetings.
  • Prepare periodic life skills update sheets and ensure timely follow-up with relevant teams.
  • Conduct meetings with trainers on topics such as positive leadership, civic engagement, and adolescent kit utilization.
  • Organize and conduct focus group discussions with youth across different program components.
  • Monitor pre- and post-test implementation and analyze results to measure impact.
  • Follow up with trainers, youth, and program areas on evaluation results and any identified changes.
  • Work closely with the MEAL department to ensure proper coordination and follow-up based on project needs.
  • Conduct refresher sessions for trainers and coordinators to enhance program quality.
  • Provide training for trainers on positive leadership skills and civic engagement.
  • Deliver adapted adolescent kit training for trainers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program support, lifeskills, youth development, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with a strong customer service approach.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Experience in working with youth programs, training coordination, and monitoring and evaluation processes is an asset.
