Financial literacy Trainer

AND is planning to establish the innovation labs in Akkar to support Akkar youth, combining creativity, innovation, learning, mentorship, and exposure to new technology. The trainings of the innovation labs shall help youth broaden their horizons, develop their entrepreneurial skills, and potentially, open up new opportunities, thus improving their livelihoods. AND is seeking a trainer with a strong background on financial literacy / Youth Functional Skills. 

These services include skills building trainings for youth on several, diverse topics related to financial literacy and functional skills. The trainer is required to coordinate with the project manager and other trainers to combine the needs of the trainees with the training curriculum and material in accordance with the YFS package requirements.                

 Areas of Responsibility:  

The main task to be completed by the trainer shall be:

  • Completing the preparatory phase entailing mastering the financial literacy component of the YFS training curriculum including participation to the required trainings
  • Ensuring daily preparation of the sessions
  • Provision of the training sessions in a timely manner
  • Ensuring regular coordination with the trainers of the other two components of the YFS package.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and Teaching diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years' relevant experience in design and training delivery.
  • Positive and professional attitude, able to organize.

Deliverables

The provider of services shall be responsible for the following deliverables.

  1. Training Syllabus and timetable
  2. Materials used throughout the workshop and training curriculum.
  3. Training logistics (attendance sheet, record keeping…).
  4. Total cost including number of hours and/or days + cost per hours and/or day.
  5. Appraisal by the end of the training with further recommendations.

Level of Effort

The Trainer shall have the following number of hours allocated for this task:

Reporting

The provider of services shall report to the Project Manager.

PSEA clause:

AND has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the code of conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
