MOSAIC is a holistic organization committed to improving the health and wellness of LGBTIQ persons in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence and regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC aims to foster the coexistence of people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities (SOGI) within inclusive communities and national systems. Founded by LGBTIQ activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC provides comprehensive services, advocates for policy reform, builds knowledge and capacities on SOGI issues, and engages both LGBTIQ and heterosexual individuals in the fight against homophobia.
Consultancy Overview:
MOSAIC is seeking a SOGIE Trainer (Consultant) to deliver training sessions for frontline staff, case managers, and program managers on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE) awareness and inclusion. The consultant will provide tailored training across different levels of staff, focusing on enhancing knowledge and practical skills in case management, sensitization, and inclusion in programming.
Key Training Topics:
- General SOGIE Awareness
- Case Management and Sensitization Training – Best practices for case managers and social workers in handling SOGIE cases.
- Inclusion and Diversity in Programming – Strategies for program managers to integrate SOGIE-sensitive approaches in planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver interactive training sessions tailored to frontline workers, case managers, and program managers.
- Provide practical tools and strategies for inclusive case management and programming.
- Facilitate discussions and case studies to enhance participants' understanding and application.
- Share referral pathways and best practices for supporting LGBTIQ individuals in case management.
- Provide session reports, including key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in SOGIE issues, social work, psychology, human rights, or related fields.
- Experience in training and capacity building for frontline workers and program managers.
- Knowledge of best practices in LGBTIQ inclusion and diversity in humanitarian and social services.
- Ability to deliver engaging and accessible training to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with marginalized communities, particularly LGBTIQ individuals, is a plus.
