Key Findings:
• Improvement in assortment, availability and resilience of supply chains in South and Baalbek-El Hermel saw market functionality back at par with national levels by December 2024.
• The most affected governorate, El Nabatieh, saw a gradual recovery in functionality, with the MFI increasing from 1.1 in November 2024 to 4.4 in December 2024, and then 6.3 by January 2025.
• Price unpredictability in most governorates continued to be a drag on MFI scores nationwide. Shops in El Nabatieh also continued to report price increases in non-cereal foods, resulting in a slightly lower MFI score compared to other governorates.
