Livelihoods Field Officer - North

Key Responsibilities

Implementation: 

Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure the effective implementation of activities with farmers. 

Develop the needed tools, resources and materials to assist the team members in their daily work 

Participate in developing detailed project implementation plan and orient the assistants on agreed actions 

Facilitate the establishment of farmer groups and clusters to enhance collective decision-making, resource sharing, and knowledge exchange. 

Conduct livelihoods activities in the field under the guidance of the Program Coordinator such as assessments, distributions, etc. 

Organize and lead meetings and community events with stakeholders to foster collaboration and align project objectives. 

Actively engage women farmers to encourage their participation in farming activities and decision-making processes. 

Promote gender-sensitive approaches within the community to address barriers to women’s active involvement in agriculture. 

Actively participate in the collection and analysis of information/data used to determine vulnerability, needs and targeting criteria as well as participate in the selection of project beneficiaries. 

Regularly monitoring the field activities to ensure all implemented activities are aligned with the action plan and standards agreed on and highlight any significant deviance. 

 

Coordination and representation: 

Conduct meetings with relevant stakeholders in the areas (Farmers, Technical consultants, partners, cooperatives, municipalities and other NGOs) to ensure appropriate programming strategies are developed and refined for the target population 

Contribute to the development of livelihoods referral system and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention. 

Actively participate in coordination meetings when requested by the Program Coordinator. 

 

Monitoring and Reporting 

Regularly monitor field activities and provide updates on progress, challenges, and success stories to the Livelihoods Program Coordinator. 

Prepare and submit high-quality weekly and monthly reports, including insights on stakeholder engagement, community impact, and women’s participation. 

Responsible for collecting data and maintaining accurate and confidential up to date documentation.   

Ensure all data and documentation are accurately recorded and maintained in a secure and confidential manner. 

Safely identify and refer cases in need of support under different sectors to the available service provider(s) based on the updated services mapping and Inter-Agency Minimum standards on Referrals.

Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor to contribute to program success
