The project focal person is a position seconding the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) at the Ministry of Public Health, part of a common project with the Lebanese Center for Civic Education (LCCE) in partnership with International Rescue Committee (IRC) under funding from the World Bank. The focal person will be supporting the project coordination within the NMHP, acting as the focal person from NMHP side. The role involves revision and update of the action plan, follow up on the technical and MEAL activities related to internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders. The project focal person reports to NMHP operations manager.
Responsibilities:
The project focal person will work on one or more assigned projects and be responsible to:
- Develop or revise project action plans in line with the project management SOP
- Support in coordinating project activities, from substantive, administrative and financial points of view
- Ensure effective communication and coordination internally with other units and externally, where asked between different partners within the project
- Monitor project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditures
- Ensure all needed preparations and attendance of meetings related to the project, while developing or revising minutes of meetings as relevant
- Keep track of all project documentation agreed upon with other partners including ensuring timely preparation and compilation of mid-term progress report, final project report, work action plans and detailed budgets or any other deliverable to be agreed upon between all partners
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Provide problem solving as needed.
Minimum qualifications and professional experience:
- University Degree: Master’s Degree in Public Health, health management or business management related field
- Experience: 7 years of relevant job experience.
- Skills:
- Excellent spoken and written skills in English and Arabic.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Cultural sensitivity
- Knowledge of public health or mental health topics is desirable.
- Experience in working with NGOs, government, or public health organizations is desirable.
- Digital Literacy
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of cloud-based collaboration (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of social communication platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.)
- Basic technology literacy
