School volunteer - North Bekaa

  1. Monitor Educational Activities: Oversee the daily operations of retention support activities, ensuring that teachers are effectively delivering lessons, providing individualized support to students, and meeting educational objectives.
  2. Line Management for Teachers: Supervise and support teachers and education volunteers, ensuring they are delivering high-quality lessons and creating a positive classroom environment. Provide guidance and feedback as needed to improve teaching strategies and student support.
  3. Report and Address Child Protection Concerns: Monitor the school environment for any child protection issues or incidents of abuse, report them in a timely manner following Nabad’s child protection policies, and follow up as needed.
  4. Track and Monitor Progress: Ensure that teachers are tracking and reporting on student progress, assessing academic benchmarks, and providing feedback to students and parents regularly.

 

  1. Collaborate with Staff: Foster strong communication and collaboration between teachers, education volunteers, and other school staff, ensuring alignment with program objectives and effective team functioning.
  2. Prepare Reports and Documentation: Assist in preparing regular reports on the progress of retention support activities, teachers’ and volunteers’ performance, and any child protection incidents or concerns.
  3. Provide Support and Mentorship: Offer support to teachers and education volunteers when needed, especially in areas related to classroom management, lesson planning, and working with students with diverse learning needs, including CWDs.
  4. Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting gender-sensitive teaching practices and ensuring that all students receive adequate support.
  5. Participate in Training: Attend relevant training sessions, workshops, and meetings, including those on child protection, inclusive education, and social-emotional learning (SEL), and ensure that all team members are appropriately trained.
