Psychomotor Therapist

Assessment and Diagnosis: 

• Conduct comprehensive psychomotor assessments to identify motor and coordination challenges. 
• Develop Individualized Therapy Plans (ITPs) to enhance children’s motor skills and cognitive functions. 
• Regularly track and document children’s progress and adapt interventions accordingly.

Intervention and Therapy: 

• Implement structured psychomotor exercises to improve coordination, posture, and spatial awareness. 
• Use play-based and movement activities to enhance sensory integration and motor planning. 
• Support children in developing fine and gross motor skills required for academic success.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions based on children's needs.

Collaboration and Support: 

• Work in coordination with educators and psychologists to integrate psychomotor development into learning activities. 
• Provide guidance to parents and caregivers on exercises and strategies for home reinforcement. 
• Identify cases requiring specialized interventions and refer children to external specialists when needed

 Reporting and Supervision

The psychomotor therapist will report to the Program Coordinator and work closely with educators, psychologists, and social workers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychomotor Therapy or a related field. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychomotor therapy, preferably with children in vulnerable settings. 
• Strong understanding of child development, motor coordination, and sensory integration. 
• Experience working with children with learning disabilities, autism, and trauma-related motor challenges. 
• Proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of English and/or French is an asset.
•  Strong communication, collaboration, and case management skills. 
• Commitment to child protection and safeguarding policies.
