Introduction and background information:
MENA Rosa is a pioneer regional network of women living with HIV in the MENA region. We aim to support and empower women and girls in their diversity, those living with HIV, those at risk of infection, and their families and partners through advocacy, research, awareness raising, and capacity building.
MENA Rosa was founded in 2010 as the first regional network of women living with HIV in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) securing an independent niche for Women in Their Diversity (WiTD). Its main objective is to advocate for the rights of WiTD and improve their lives. MENA Rosa focuses on supporting and empowering women and girls living with or at risk of HIV, as well as their partners, through developing their leadership skills and promoting effective participation in raising awareness, advocacy, and networking.
MENA Rosa is currently based in Lebanon and has focal points in 11 countries in the MENA region, including Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen.

The fourth day was entirely dedicated to mental health and wellbeing.
As a second step, a two-day consultative workshop in Cairo will bring together 15 harm reduction service providers from various NGOs, with representatives from the community of WWUD. The workshop will foster dialogue, address gaps in gender-sensitive harm reduction, and develop concrete action points to ensure inclusive, non-discriminatory, and gender-responsive services for WWUD.
