Project Officer - Bekaa Area

  • Identify the needs and gaps within NABAD and develop a work plan based on the previous month’s results (including technical recommendations);
  • Act as the main focal point present daily in the field for beneficiaries, communities, and NABAD; maintain good relationships with participants, and make sure any feedback is shared with the Project Manager. Ensure preparatory tasks for implementing the project’s activity are completed according to the project’s work plan;
  • Manage and track the stock of tools, materials, and refreshments received in the field and their proper usage as well as their storage in a safe place;
  • Provide comprehensive reports throughout the year including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative;
  • Ensure the success of the organized activities by respecting logistical, administrative, and communication processes aligned with the donor’s rules and requirements;
  • Refer CP, GBV, and youth with special needs cases to the case manager for professional intervention and follow-up (direct intervention and/or external referral as needed);
  • Take the lead in implementing protection and education activities in Bekaa and ensure activities implementation aligns with the project work plan and strategy;
  • Work closely with other program/operations field staff members to ensure the effective and timely implementation of activities under program work plans and logical frameworks;
  • Together with the Project Manager, schedule regular monitoring and ensure modification of program activities as required, including addressing any problems that may arise;
  • Ensure financial spending, financial and supply chain document of activities is collected and aligned with NABAD and donor compliance policy;
  • Work closely with the Project manager to monitor training outcomes through baseline surveys, pre-and post-tests, after-action reviews, and follow-up interviews, and continually reflect on training experiences and monitoring data to improve future training for community committees;
  • Supervise the outreach assistants’ community engagement including sensitization, mobilization, formation of community committees, and identification of beneficiaries through community committees in accordance with program guidelines and NABAD standards. Work with community committees for local buy-in to ensure the program is well understood and owned by the target communities;
  • Technical support and supervision for staff.
