Project Officer

Under the mission of “Thriving Together towards communal solidarity for dignified living in Lebanon,” Sanabel Al Nour, a local NGO established in 1995, is committed to supporting the most vulnerable communities in Tripoli through holistic development, humanitarian approach, and multi-sectoral projects.

Sanabel is committed to improving the well-being of orphans, including those with disabilities, from both Lebanese and refugee communities. As part of this mission, we prioritize food security and nutrition to ensure every child has access to safe, healthy meals to avoid hunger and prevent malnutrition.

Under the framework of the Shabake 2 project, in partnership with Expertise France, we are seeking Project Officer to join Sanabel Al Nour team.

Introduction

As the Project Officer for the hot meal distribution project, you will be responsible for overseeing all field operation of the project. You will work closely with the project Manager, and all the field and operation staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of hot meals to beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support and follow up with the social workers in conducting assessments of beneficiaries and ensuring that meals reach those most in need.
2. Supervise and follow up the whole field operation while coordinating with the project manager.
3. Ensure that food supplies are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
4. Manage the drivers in coordinating the transportation of meals to distribution points, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and safety manner.
5. Coordinate and follow up with the head chef to develop nutritious and culturally appropriate meal plans, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences of beneficiaries.
6. Conduct all the field related reports
7. Provide daily reports to the Project Manager on all operational activities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in project implementation 
• Good knowledge of Tripoli and nearby areas
• Strong leadership Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Have the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Collaboration and teamwork
• coordination and follow-up skills
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office…) 
• Fluent in Arabic and English
