Driver

Under the mission of “Thriving Together towards communal solidarity for dignified living in Lebanon,” Sanabel Al Nour, a local NGO established in 1995, is committed to supporting the most vulnerable communities in Tripoli through holistic development, humanitarian approach, and multi-sectoral projects.

Sanabel is committed to improving the well-being of orphans, including those with disabilities, from both Lebanese and refugee communities. As part of this mission, we prioritize food security and nutrition to ensure every child has access to safe, healthy meals to avoid hunger and prevent malnutrition.

Under the framework of the Shabake 2 project, in partnership with Expertise France, we are seeking Driver to join Sanabel Al Nour team.

Introduction

As a Driver for the Food Security and Well-being Program, you will be responsible for safely transporting staff, supplies, and materials to and from program locations. Your role is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of the program and the timely delivery of services to beneficiaries. Additionally, you will be tasked with delivering hot meals according to an action plan prepared by the Project Manager, and transporting Social Workers to assist with the distribution process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely transport staff, supplies, and materials to program locations while strictly following road safety regulations.
2. Assist with loading and unloading supplies and materials efficiently and carefully.
3. Deliver hot meals to beneficiaries according to the Project Manager’s action plan, ensuring timely distribution.
4. Transport social workers to distribution sites and support them during meals distribution.
5. Keep the vehicle in optimal condition through regular maintenance, cleaning, and prompt repairs.
6. Coordinate with program staff to plan transportation schedules and determine the most efficient routes.
7. Immediately report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays to the program manager.
8. Follow all program policies and procedures related to vehicle use, safety, and operations.
9. Provide additional logistical support to program staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a driver.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a road-legal vehicle
• Strong Communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Tripoli and surrounding areas
