Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Scope of Work
The consultant psychiatrist will:
 Conduct psychiatric assessments for referred children and adolescents.
 Provide diagnosis and develop individualized treatment plans, including medication
management where appropriate.
 Offer follow-up consultations to track progress and adapt interventions.
 Prepare and submit a follow-up report after each session, including clinical
observations, treatment updates, and recommendations.
 Liaise with caregivers and/or guardians as necessary, ensuring ethical and child-friendly
communication.
 Collaborate with the MHPSS team, including case workers and psychologists.
 Ensure culturally sensitive and child-rights-based approaches in all interactions.
 Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of service delivery.
 Geographic Coverage & Location of Sessions:
The consultant may be requested to cover cases in various areas across Lebanon,
including but not limited to:
o Beirut and Mount Lebanon
o Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel Governorates
o South Lebanon (e.g., Saida, Tyre, Nabatieh)
1. Sessions may take place:
a. In INARA offices (when available and appropriate),
b. At partner facilities,
c. Or remotely via secure telepsychiatry platforms when necessary.
2. Flexibility in traveling to field locations or providing hybrid services is preferred
Deliverables
 Individual psychiatric sessions for each referred beneficiary.
 Written follow-up report per session, submitted in a timely manner.
 Summary of sessions conducted on a monthly basis (if requested).

Qualifications
 Licensed Psychiatrist with specialization or significant experience in Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry.
 Minimum 7 years of experience working with children and youth, preferably in
humanitarian or community settings.
 Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care and child development.
 Strong communication skills with the ability to engage children, adolescents, and their
families.
 Fluency in Arabic and English.
 Familiarity with safeguarding principles and child protection protocols.
Proposal Requirements
Interested candidates should submit the following documents:
1. Updated CV.
2. Copy of valid license to practice as a psychiatrist.
3. Financial proposal indicating price per session (in USD).
4. Brief cover letter expressing interest and outlining relevant experience.
5. Availability and estimated number of sessions that can be provided per month.

Proposals will be reviewed based on:
 Relevant clinical qualifications and experience.
 Cost-effectiveness (price per session).
 Availability and ability to meet reporting requirements.
 Fit with the organization’s child protection values and protocols.
