Permaculture Expert – Two Lands

1. Summary

The project aims to enhance agricultural sustainability in vulnerable communities using permaculture for climate resilience. It involves young people, runs community awareness campaigns, and utilizes permaculture techniques for effective water management. Additionally, it engages local stakeholders to tailor project technologies to their specific needs and conducts educational programs about climate change and sustainable farming.

2. Scope of work

After implementing permaculture practices on two lands in the Bekaa area, the expert will conduct a thorough needs assessment with the field team at each site. Following this, the expert will provide coaching sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of the staff, ensuring improved and sustained site sustainability

3. Outcomes

• Improving the technical skills and knowledge of field staff in permaculture practices on the land.

4. Deliverables

• To Produce the assessment report for the staff.
• To Provide tailored sessions for the field team at each site based on the needs assessment.
• To Submit a progress report detailing the improvement in the field team's knowledge and practices at each site.

5. Qualifications

• University degree in agriculture or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Proven knowledge of Fair-Trade principles
• Proven presentation skills
• Drives results

The consultant should submit a portfolio of previous projects, in addition to a short concept note related to the abovementioned intervention with a budget. The detailed workplan will be developed and agreed upon in coordination with FTL team.

7. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made through bank cheques
• Payment will be made within 15 to 20 business days after last delivery and submission of final invoice
