A - Background
- The Arab Resource Collective (ARC) is a non-governmental regional organization. ARC's mission is to work with partners on producing and disseminating knowledge, promoting policies and developing human resources in order to translate rights into reality. ARC targets children and youth within their environment, and focuses on health, education and protection.
- During emergencies, frontliners rush to help and support the vulnerable through various interventions on field level. However, these same frontliners need to support themselves on a holistic level, with special focus on MHPSS. ARC/ANECD will use its MHPSS (under updating) website, a website developed by ARC to provide and share MHPSS resources, news, content, and support with professionals in the Arab world.
- The MHPSS website was developed to target professionals, experts, frontliners, and caregivers with MHPSS resources.This website will be updated and new sections will be added to incorporate an online course, multiple Support Groups, and new, valid, updated, and contextualized MHPSS Resources.
B- Roles and Responsibilities
General Coordination
- Coordinates the MHPSS Action plan implementation under the supervision of the management team, through weekly meetings with the line manager and monthly meetings with the management team.
- Leads the development of MHPSS full proposals and budget plans with a time span of one month.
- Develops MHPSS action plans in alignment with ARC strategy in response to funding opportunities.
- Conducts monthly budget control and realigns budget expenditures plan.
- Releasing payments from the projects’ budgets according to the organization's financial authority scheme
- Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions/contingency plans when implementing MHPSS activities.
- Writes progress and final narrative reports for funders.
- Generates contracts, TORs, and expense claims with MHPSS consultants.
- Attends and participates in the program’s meetings with donors, regional and local partners.
- Coordinates with the MEAL Coordinator to factor in the upcoming action plans in the general MHPSS MEAL Plan and Indicators Tracking Tool on a monthly basis.
- Represents MHPSS in national working groups, conferences, webinars, and events.
Human Resources
- Develops the consultancy TOR according to the project objectives and budget
- Shortlists the candidate's CVs according to the listed requirements/qualifications in the TOR
- Participates in interviewing the shortlisted candidates.
- Ensures the quality delivery of the program services by the mentors is up to standards.
- Set a contingency plan to interfere in case of existing challenges.
- Follows up upon need on claims communicated by the program beneficiaries to the MEAL coordinator.
Content Development
- Leads the establishment of a roadmap for content development in alignment with the projects’ expected outputs
- Conducts induction meetings with the content developers and organize weekly follow-up meetings during the consultancy duration to ensure the alignment of the consultants’ deliverables with the expectations.
- Reviews the final deliverables, suggest improvements, and share them with the content development committee
- Coordinates with the technical support team (ICT - audio-visual and graphic designer) for any related tasks to content development.
Training
- Leads the establishment of a roadmap for training implementation in alignment with the projects’ expected outputs
- Participates in the training agenda development with the recruited trainers
- Conducts induction meetings with the trainers and organize weekly follow-up meetings during the consultancy duration to ensure the alignment of the training with the expectations.
- Ensures content is aligned with MHPSS’s vision and ARC’s ethics and language.
- Coordinates the training logistics before every training.
- Attends mentor's training, and participate actively in the training process.
Website Development
- Leads “Nawwara” Website development
- Communicates and follow up with the Graphic Designer on branding guidelines and web page design.
- Assigns the website development to ICT, and follow up on the website development following the project timeline.
- Uploads content (texts - videos - photos - sessions) on the website.
Research
- Supports the research associate in establishing a roadmap for research in alignment with the projects’ expected outputs.
- Conducts induction meetings with the Research Associate and Key investigator and organize weekly follow-up meetings during the research duration to ensure the alignment of the research deliverables with the expectations.
- Reviews the research deliverables and suggest improvements, and share them with the management team.
- Supports the research associate in developing and conducting data collectors training.
C- Qualifications and Skills
- University Degree in Psychology, Social work or any other relevant field
- Very high coordination Skills
- Very good Knowledge in the Mental Health and Psycho-Social support field
- Very good writing skills in Arabic
- Very Good written and verbal English skills
- High reporting skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previously worked with donors
- Able to advise on the developed content related to frontliners mental health
- Knowledge and experience in PSS and Psychological approach is a plus
- Experience in training on MH topics is a plus
