Education Officer - Bekaa Area

  1. Plan and oversee the implementation of education activities within assigned MSCC locations, ensuring alignment with Makani's vision and strategic objectives.
  2. Ensure all educational interventions are inclusive, culturally appropriate, and tailored to the diverse needs of children, adolescents, and caregivers.
  3. Adapt and contextualize curricula and learning materials to meet the developmental stages and learning needs of different age groups.
  4. Coordinate the implementation of remedial, non-formal, and alternative education programs that support vulnerable children and youth in re-engaging with learning.
  5. Supervise and provide ongoing coaching to teachers, facilitators, and education staff to uphold high-quality, participatory, and learner-centered teaching methodologies.
  6. Conduct regular field visits to monitor the delivery of educational activities, identify challenges, and provide technical and operational support.
  7. Collect, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data on learning outcomes, attendance, and participant engagement to inform program improvement.
  8. Contribute to the development of internal and donor reports, including success stories, case studies, and evaluation summaries.
  9. Engage with local education authorities, community leaders, and partners to enhance collaboration and community ownership of education interventions.
  10. Facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for education staff and community volunteers, as needed.
  11. Represent the MSCC education component in sector coordination meetings, technical working groups, and other external forums.
  12. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of program activities, beneficiary records, and resource use.
  13. Assist in monitoring budgets and managing educational resources to support effective and equitable service delivery.
  14. Support the Project Coordinator in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for donors, stakeholders, and community feedback sessions.
  15. Adhere to the work schedule as set by management, ensuring consistent and reliable contribution to the project while being flexible to meet evolving needs.
  16. Collaborate with team members across departments, taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the smooth operation of community centers and achieve the project’s goals.
  17. Adapt to shifting priorities, proactively addressing challenges and assisting with any assigned tasks to ensure the continued success and positive impact of the project.
