Social Worker - Batroun Community Center (Part-time)

We are looking for a Part-time Social Worker based in our Batroun Community Center with frequent visits to project locations to support the school feeding program.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Social Work:

  • Provide professional and confidential case management services to children and adults.
  • Accurately document beneficiary information through intake and consent forms, ensuring secure and confidential storage.
  • Share updated data for reporting purposes (e.g. numbers, trends, challenges), while strictly adhering to the need-to-know principle.
  • Support the maintenance of Tabitha’s case management system by upholding strict confidentiality standards.
  • Ethically collect and store data, and contribute to the interpretation of analyzed information.
  • Participate in the preparation of internal and donor reports as required.
  • Contribute to the development and strengthening of referral networks with relevant partners.
  • Maintain and reinforce relationships with key stakeholders to ensure survivors and individuals with specific needs receive appropriate support, and to promote coordination across protection, health, legal, and psychosocial sectors.
  • Complete interagency referral forms to ensure appropriate cross-sector referrals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure the evolving needs of children and adults are addressed through prevention and response activities.
  • Participate in review meetings and psychosocial capacity assessments with local partners.
  • Coordinate with the psychologist to ensure timely and appropriate psychological follow-up for cases.
  • Organize case conferences for complex or high-risk cases.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor service delivery and follow-up.
  • Participate in evaluation focus groups and coordination meetings.
  • Visit the main office when required.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the management team.

Support to the School Feeding Program:

  • Monitor food preparation, delivery, hygiene, and storage practices in school kitchens to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with the daily supervision and coordination of volunteer kitchen teams to ensure timely and efficient meal production and distribution.
  • Facilitate communication with school directors, MEHE representatives, and parents to assess feedback and adapt the feeding program as needed.
  • Conduct basic awareness sessions with students on healthy eating and hygiene.
  • Track food usage and inventory to reduce waste and ensure accurate ordering and stock management.
  • Support the collection and organization of key program data (e.g. enrolment, attendance, inventory levels, and meal unit costs).
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on school feeding activities.
  • Represent the program in meetings with NGOs, UN agencies, and local stakeholders when needed.
  • Collaborate with the communications team by sharing success stories, photos, and testimonials related to food distribution and student experiences.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Masters is a plus.
  • Female Social Worker is a must.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in an NGO, iNGO is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Having a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
