Validation Officer - 6 Months

Scope of work

The validation officer will be responsible for the following

  1. Reviewing and validating social assessment tool and bills

Thoroughly review social assessment tools to guarantee accurate completion by hospital administrators and social workers.

Verify the assigned scores for each patient to confirm their eligibility for out-of-pocket support. Scrutinize hospital-generated bills to ensure their accuracy and alignment with stated dollar amounts.

 

  1. Communication and facilitation of financial transactions

Collaborate with hospital administrative teams to ensure timely submission of bills to the MOPH. Transmit authorized bills to UNICEF for punctual payment processing.

Enhance collaboration and coordination with project partners and stakeholders to guarantee efficient allocation of resources, preventing any instances of duplicate beneficiary payments.

 

  1. Monitoring and documenting patient support

Perform periodic checks via telephone calls and occasional home visits to confirm the receipt of financial assistance by patients.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of each patient's records, encompassing social assessment forms and individual bills.

Conduct routine field visits to the hospitals to monitor the quality of work, selection of patients, and the implementation of the project.

 

  1. Capacity building

Conduct refresher sessions with social workers and hospital administrators on best practices of administering and scoring the social assessment tool.

Deliverables and Schedules

A monthly report should be shared to MOPH and UNICEF outlining:

The number of bills received, validated, and processed during the period The amount of funds transferred to each hospital

The number of social assessments reviewed and documented

The number of refresher sessions on social assessment administering and scoring conducted (if any)

The challenges noted in the implementation as well as recommendations for improvement

Profile Requirements Education:
degree in public health, Health Management, or any related administrative or health field with at least 3-4 years of proven professional experience.
Language:
MUST be fluent in Arabic and English

Experience and Skills:
Experience in managing health projects, providing technical assistance and leadership through monitoring implementation processes, generating reports, and communicating with various stakeholders.
Proficient in performing financial audits through the evaluation of invoices.


Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, with a specific focus on Excel. Experience working with the Ministry of Public Health.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with reviewing, assessing, and processing large amounts of information/data. Experience with processing large amounts of information and synthesizing it.
Ability to work in a team and in a diverse work environment.
Knowledge of United Nations particularly UNICEF processes and work streams is an asset.
