Intern : Livelihood

Intern Responsibilities:

Benefeciaries selection and coordination:

Follow up with the implementation partners on the selection of beneficiaries, ensuring transparency and fairness.

Monitoring and evaluating:

Conduct regular visits during the outreach and implementation phases to monitor progress.

Perform spot-check visits to verify the progress, quality, and effectiveness of activities such as the installation of drip irrigation systems, water management training sessions, the establishment of water ponds, and the creation of agroecology plots.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and submit reports (e.g., daily and weekly reports, field visit reports, minutes of meetings) on the status of activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and lessons learned to contribute to the project’s knowledge base.

The intern will attend the weekly meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and any required adjustments to the work plan.

Training and Capacity Building:

Follow up with the implementation partner on organizing and facilitating water management training sessions for beneficiaries, focus group discussions, and capacity building of identified stakeholders on disaster risk reduction (DRR).

Implementation Support:

The intern will work in close coordination with the implementation partner and provide support to the implementation partner in executing activities whenever needed.

Qualifications:

Current students in their final years of a diploma program or fresh graduates in agriculture, environmental science, water resources management, or related fields.

Strong interest in water management and climate change.

Background in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Willingness to travel to project sites.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with data collection and analysis is a plus.

Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
