Center Coordinator

The Center Coordinator is the primary focal point responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of activities at the center, ensuring quality service delivery, safety, and compliance with safeguarding standards. This position also includes team leadership, logistics management, community engagement, and data reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Coordination

Supervise outreach workers, facilitators, drivers, and support staff.

Lead staff meetings and encourage collaboration across roles.

Ensure adherence to child safeguarding standards and ethical conduct.

Coordinate with the outreach team to identify and engage beneficiaries.

2. Program Implementation

Develop and monitor weekly/monthly schedules.

Ensure timely implementation of all center activities aligned with project goals.

Follow up on attendance and community participation.

Adapt plans based on emerging needs and challenges.

3. Logistics and Operations

Oversee logistical needs and procurement processes.

Maintain center equipment and materials.

Coordinate with drivers to ensure safe transportation for caregivers and children.

4. Community Engagement

Act as the focal point with local stakeholders and municipalities.

Organize awareness and visibility events.

Strengthen partnerships and referral pathways with local actors.

5. Reporting and Documentation

Collect and verify attendance and beneficiary data.

Maintain administrative records (receipts, timesheets, invoices, etc.).

Submit weekly reports and escalate issues as needed.

Conduct assessments and FGDs when requested.

6. Safety and Safeguarding

Ensure the center remains a safe, inclusive space.

Monitor and report incidents or breaches of confidentiality.

Uphold child protection and safeguarding standards.

Maintain a functional Feedback Complaint Response Mechanism.

7. Other Duties

Participate in trainings, coordination meetings, and audits.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Project Officer.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in center coordination or humanitarian work.

Previous experience in PSS, child protection, or education is an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Kobo Toolbox, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

High degree of confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Fluent in Arabic; English is an asset.

Flexibility in adapting to changing project needs.
