Tamadun is a Lebanese non-profit organization established in 2017. It coordinates and networks with local associations and international organizations to meet real needs and strengthen vulnerable communities through basic assistance, protection, education, health, and livelihood sectors, maintaining the basic principles of humanitarianism, neutrality, impartiality, and independence.

Currently, Tamadun Association is implementing "Crafts, Arts and Sports Entrepreneurship Support - CASES Project in Saida office, a new initiative targeting South and Mount Lebanon, within the Middle East Field Support Services Project / Cowater International, and funded by Global Affairs Canada, as a response to the urgent needs of entrepreneurs, including youth, women and persons with disabilities, during the current difficult living, economic and security conditions of conflict, displacement and loss, to maintain their ability to sustain, enhance innovation, inclusiveness and sustainable livelihood opportunities, by supporting their small and startup businesses in the crafts, arts and sports sectors.

Scope of work:

Tamadun Association is seeking to hire a Project Field Coordinator, a one-year full-time position with a starting probationary period of 3 months. Access as soon as possible. The position is based in Saida, Lebanon.

The Project Coordinator’s main duty is to plan, implement, and complete project activities within the specified time and budget frame with excellent execution. Responsibilities include reporting and coordinating with the team, partners, and consultants following the agreed plans. ensuring that all projects’ objectives are accomplished and assuming the role of quality control throughout all implementation, feedback, and M&E mechanisms are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Tamadun Association throughout the project cycle, ensure clear and timely communication of important milestones, and provide problem-solving solutions based on the assessed organizational and community needs.
  • Conduct general administration and financial procedures concerning the program, including support in logistics if required.
  • Help manage and implement project-related activities as planned during the life cycle, ensuring alignment with objectives and adherence to established timelines and reporting.
  • Collection, reporting, and documentation of monitoring and evaluation information regarding all activities conducted. This includes, but is not limited to, random beneficiary verification, baseline surveys, end-line surveys, exit surveys, quality checks...
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other organizations, INGOs and donors active in the fields of Health, Livelihoods and Protection and other sectors, if required.
  • Ensure that all documentation regarding the program is updated, reported, and stored.
  • Support Tamadun in developing concept notes, proposals, and applications, including budgets and work plans, and in delivering reporting requirements.
  • Foster an interactive and inclusive online community and ensure increased engagement, followers, and visibility across platforms.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum three years of professional experience crafting and delivering development or humanitarian projects and working in a relevant field (proposal writing, report writing, non-governmental work).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a MEAL role or similar position, ideally within a non-profit or humanitarian setting.
  • Experience with mobile data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, etc.
  • Skills in designing and implementing information management and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share results.
  • In-depth experience in project cycle management and in planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of the political and development context in Lebanon and the region.
  • Knowledge of the international humanitarian and development sectors.
  • Good understanding of relevant donor policies, regulations, procedures and requirements.
  • Required willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation.
  • Language: Fluent in Arabic and excellent English.
