Digital Communication Specialist

SBT is seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Communication Specialist to lead its organizational communication strategy and digital presence. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, excellent content creation skills, and solid technical expertise in graphic design, video editing, and social media management. This role is central to ensuring consistency across all external communications and aligning visual and narrative outputs with SBT’s values and mission.

Key Responsibilities
1. Communication Strategy and Branding

•    Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy aligned with organizational goals and donor visibility requirements.
•    Establish a coherent and recognizable visual identity and tone of voice for all communication materials.
•    Ensure consistency of messaging across departments and communication channels.

2. Content Creation and Visual Production
•    Design and produce compelling multimedia content (graphics, videos, animations, reels, infographics, etc.) for digital use.
•    Lead the creation of promotional materials, brochures, reports, newsletters, and presentations.
•    Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent to deliver professional content.

3. Digital Media Management
•    Manage and maintain SBT’s official website and all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube).
•    Plan, schedule, and publish digital content, ensuring engagement with key audiences.
•    Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of digital campaigns using analytics tools; adjust strategies accordingly.
•    Manage digital ad campaigns, including paid promotions and boosting content.

4. Storytelling and Media Relations
•    Draft engaging stories, press releases, collateral designs, blog posts, success stories, and field reports.
•    Source and document field-level impact content through direct collaboration with program teams.
•    Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and communication partners.

5. Internal Coordination and Capacity Support
•    Coordinate closely with program staff, MEAL teams, and external service providers to collect, verify, and produce communication materials.
•    Coordinate with the photographer/videographer upon request and based on work needs to ensure high-quality documentation and visual storytelling.
•    Coordinate with financial division for digital communication allocation and budgeting.
•    Liaise with external designers, translators, and printers as required for content production.
•    Maintain and manage SBT’s digital media library and content archive.

Required Qualifications and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Journalism, Visual Arts, or a related field.
•    1-2 years of relevant professional experience in digital communication, preferably within the humanitarian, development, or nonprofit sector.
•    Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
•    Strong graphic design and video editing skills.
•    Proven ability to manage social media platforms and digital advertising tools.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
•    Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and audience engagement strategies.
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
•    Strong organizational skills, team collaboration, and a proactive work ethic.
