Position Summary
As a Project Officer, you will be supporting the Partnership & employability Coordinator & the Project Manager in mapping, researching, identifying potential companies and apprenticeships/job requirements across the areas for the purpose of placing Job Seekers of the project in jobs. You will need to coordinate the activities of the project.
Responsibilities
Program implementation and quality:
- Knowledgeable of INJAZ Lebanon implemented program and ensures that it is being delivered according to the Programs Implementation Standards shared by the donors’ standards
- Follow-up with implementing schools and universities to ensure smooth running and quality delivery of the project
- Organize and gather required documentation (MOU, beneficiaries attendance, evaluation questionnaire, testimonials), facilitators, & volunteers
- Schedule the implementation in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North, and Bekaa areas and update them on a daily basis on the delivery sheet
- Conduct program presentation
- Organize sessions activities and coordinate with all parties involved
- Attend and support most implementation sessions in the region to ensure quality
- Screen job opportunities through online platforms for the project
- Attend all sessions and activities related to the project and conduct program presentations
- Schedule mentorship sessions
Outreach
- Support the Project Coordinator and the Project Manager in mapping companies per sector per area
- Ensure that good communication & coordination is maintained with community partners (current and identified) and assist in the registration of youth as per agreed targets
- Identify recruitment agencies
- Update the database file of companies, students and other stakeholders relevant to the project
- Conduct cold calls and schedule meeting to gather companies’ requirements and potential job opportunities for the students of the mentioned project above and ensure good coordination with all parties
Assist in Facilitators’ Management
- Ensure good coordination and positive relationships with the area facilitators and get their regular feedbacks on the project
- Organize sessions
- Assist if needed in the preparation of training workshops for project facilitators
- Coordinate with the facilitators and follow-up with the youth of the project on job requirements and ensure positive relationships
- Gather all needed legal documents from the facilitators, enumerators, companies, and partners.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Collect data for the implemented program (pre-post tests, attendance sheets, pictures, testimonials, facilitators’ feedback) for reporting purposes
- Update database, information sheets and insert data collected on reporting sheets
- Assure that all information sheets and delivery schedule are updated at all times
Logistics & Administrative Support
- Handle all the logistics related to the project and its activities (Food, attendance, transportation, facilitators, …)
- Organize transportation for the students when needed
- Arrange the Invoices and Receipts of the suppliers and provide them to the finance department on a monthly basis
- Assist the area project coordinator in identifying and managing project related suppliers and service providers in the region
- Ensure that delivery rooms are well equipped and ready for the implementation
- Ensure availability of all program materials and coordinate with Project Coordinator on printing requirements
- Organize the project’s logistics
Others
- Attend team meetings
- Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the Project Coordinator
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Science, Public Administration or another relevant field
- 1-2 years of professional experience in education, business, or social sector
- Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon and in entrepreneurship
- Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Highly organized and motivated, ability to multitask in a timely manner, team player
- Excellent English and Arabic spoken and written skills
- Good organizational skills, able to prioritize workload, proactive approach to meeting deadlines with limited supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
