The YALLA—Youth Approaches for Learning, Leadership & Advocacy initiative centers youth and community voices in the process of social transformation. Through its psychosocial and cultural programming, YALLA creates inclusive and creative spaces—such as Storytelling and Puppet-Making Circles—where youth explore identity, resilience, and shared experience through narrative and art.

About the Job Readiness & Civic Innovation Bootcamp

As part of the YALLA Initiative, the Job Readiness & Civic Innovation Bootcamp is a five-day, in-person program designed to support youth in developing essential professional and civic skills. Through interactive workshops and group activities, the bootcamp empowers participants to navigate the job market, build leadership capabilities, and contribute to social innovation within their communities.
Participants engage in sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, leadership, teamwork, and public speaking—while also learning to identify community needs and apply design thinking to develop civic projects. The experience culminates in a final pitch event, where youth present their solutions to real-world challenges.

About the Role

Borderless is seeking a dynamic, youth-friendly consultant to lead the design and facilitation of the bootcamp. The consultant will be responsible for creating an engaging curriculum, delivering all sessions, and guiding participants in developing their own civic innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a five-day training agenda aligned with the theme Design Your Future.
• Facilitate sessions on:

CV and cover letter writing

Interview skills and public speaking

Leadership, communication, and teamwork

Community needs assessment and design thinking

Project pitching and stakeholder engagement

• Create a safe, inclusive space for learning and growth.
• Mentor participants as they design and present their civic innovation ideas.
• Provide expert feedback during the final pitch presentations.
• Submit a final report summarizing outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.

Expected Deliverables

• Final training agenda and materials (submitted one week prior to bootcamp).
• Full delivery of five in-person training days.
• Support for participant projects and pitch presentations.
• Final consultant report (submitted within one week after bootcamp).

Required Qualifications

• A degree in education, social sciences, public administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in youth facilitation, employability programming, or civic engagement.
• Proven ability to deliver interactive, participatory trainings.
• Strong knowledge of design thinking and youth leadership development.
• Experience working with diverse and/or marginalized youth in Lebanon.
• Fluency in Arabic and a strong command of English.
• Ability to translate concepts into accessible, engaging activities.
