Education Specialist

Salam LADC supports vulnerable populations in Lebanon through providing direct aid, running various projects and facilitating the efforts and initiatives of independent volunteers and organizations. We provide a platform for international volunteers, grassroots initiatives, and private and institutional donors to coordinate their efforts towards assisting and empowering refugee and other vulnerable populations across Lebanon, whilst also serving as a link to the major local and international actors.

Salam LADC is seeking an experienced Education Specialist to conduct a review of ECE, BLN, and adult literacy educational approaches implemented at its community center in Saadnayel, Beqaa. The consultant will provide actionable feedback and lead a one-day in-person workshop for Salam LADC’s teaching and program staff. The objective is to strengthen the quality of education delivery, refine teaching methods, and ensure alignment with child-centered, inclusive, and participatory learning principles.

Description:
• Review Salam LADC’s current ECE and BLN practices, tools, and learning materials
• Assess teaching strategies, classroom management approaches, and learning outcomes 
• Evaluate the extent to which teaching methods promote child well-being, participation, inclusion, and positive discipline
• Prepare and deliver a one-day capacity-building workshop for teachers and education staff in late July (Saturday), in Zahle district
• Share feedback and practical recommendations to enhance education practices

Required Profile:

• Proven experience in education or teacher training, particularly in non-formal or accelerated education programs
• Experience working with refugee or vulnerable populations in Lebanon or similar contexts
• Familiarity with the education sector standards and ideally has experience in working according to them and/or with their tools
• Strong understanding of participatory and inclusive teaching methods
• Previous experience in designing and facilitating interactive workshops for educators
