Outreach Officer

The Outreach Officer plays a key role in implementing community engagement strategies and ensuring the effective identification, mobilization, and support of project beneficiaries. This position is responsible for building strong relationships with local stakeholders, organizing outreach activities, and ensuring the accurate registration and follow-up of participants. The Outreach Officer works closely with the project team to ensure that outreach efforts are timely, well-targeted, and aligned with overall project goals.
 

  • Design and execute outreach plans aligned with project objectives, including identifying target groups, defining geographic coverage, determining recruitment methods and tools, and establishing timelines.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders such as the Municipality of Beirut, neighboring municipal authorities, Social Development Centers (SDCs), local NGOs, and Community-based Organizations (CBOs).
  • Organize and facilitate awareness and information sessions to promote project goals and engage potential beneficiaries.
  • Work closely with social workers and the outreach team to ensure smooth coordination and effective implementation of outreach activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to beneficiaries, addressing their inquiries and ensuring they receive accurate and timely information.
  • Lead the registration process for beneficiaries, ensuring all data is collected efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with project standards.
  • Review and assess applications with diligence, ensuring fair and efficient processing of all applicants.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written information to applicants and stakeholders regarding the application process and project details.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive and organized beneficiary database in both soft and hard copies.
  • Manage and oversee the scheduling and distribution of beneficiaries into appropriate sessions and activities.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with registered beneficiaries through phone calls, emails, or other communication channels to ensure ongoing engagement an support.
  • Prepare and submit detailed monthly reports summarizing outreach activities, challenges, outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the project or management.

 

 

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Science, or any related field

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Competencies
  • Strong Knowledge in data analysis
  • Strong knowledge in producing accurate and well documented reports
  • Good analytical skills and analysing data
  • Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organisational and prioritization skills
  • Strong time management capabilities
  • Very good relationship building and interpersonal skills

  • Great understanding of policies, procedures and work methods
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English languages
